Oscar Diggs, Oz (James Franco) is a circus magician who gets transported to the Land of Oz where he becomes is to become the legendary Wizard of Oz. He encounters 3 witches Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz), and Glinda (Michelle Williams) who have been waiting for him to come as their legend has informed them he would, but they are not completely convinced that he is supposed to be the one. Everything is the Land of Oz seems to be in peril and even though he has no magical powers at all he must rise to the challenge and face and solve each problem with illusion and wits. But not only does he need to face this magical world he also must face himself an decide who is good and who is evil.
Oz the Great and Powerful is the prequel to the Wizard of Oz and is meant to reboot the whole Disney story and has been long awaited. With Sam Raimi at the helm of this movie you can be sure the cinematics and the Land of Oz will be beautiful and vibrant.
